Unshielded CAT5e Black Ethernet Patch Cable - Molded Boot/ Snagless RJ45 to RJ45
Unshielded Cat5e Black(Enhanced Category 5) network cables are an upgraded version of the Cat5 cable that was made to support 1000Mpbs Gigabit ethernet speeds. Cat5e allows you to get 1 Gbps speeds operating at a frequency of up to 100 MHz, due to reduction of crosstalk and other improvements over the Cat5 standard. Cat5e supports speeds of 10BASE-T, 100BASE-T, and 1000BASE-T, allowing it to be backward compatible with older IT equipment. Cat5e features the standard RJ45 connector on both sides of the cable, which is the standard connector used in almost all consumer IT products. The maximum length for Cat5e at 1 Gbps speeds is 100M. Standard stock lengths are 1FT - 100FT.

CAT or Category 5E "enhanced" Ethernet Cable is rated for 1Gb/s at 100m with a Bandwidth of 100Mhz. The CAT 5E design significantly improved the speed of its predecessor "CAT 5" by improved design in twisting of the internal wires, and reducing of cross talk between the wires. This Category of Ethernet cables is our cost saver series, and is recommended for basic consumer connection from wall outlets to laptop/computer hookups. This is because it can easily be replaced, and unless you require 10Gb/s speeds or are connecting over long distances, this is the ethernet cable for you.
The RJ45 Jack is the standard ethernet jack in the industry. It was first standardized in 1987, when the initial bandwidth rating was 3Khz/s a mere comparison to the current bandwidth nearing Ghz. The 8 pin jack is used on every type of ethernet cable and can be configured in various different ways depending on your application. In some applications of connecting small devices, the RJ45 can be utilized as a power supply also known as Power over Ethernet (PoE)
Standard Ethernet Cable Pin Layout (T-568B)
All of our standard Category 5E, 6, and 6A Ethernet Cables come wired in the T-568B RJ45 Color Layout. This layout is the most commonly used in the industry, and matches the older ATA&T 258A color code. This wiring scheme is permitted by the ANSI/TIA/EIA standard and provides a single pair of backward compatibility to the US0C wiring scheme.
