Terms and Conditions of Use

Custom assembled or molded products are subject to minimum quantity amounts and are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Prices

We make every attempt to provide accurate pricing and product information but mistakes do happen. If a mistake does occur we reserve the right to correct it and in our sole discretion, to refuse or cancel any order placed for that item at the incorrect price. All quoted prices are net in US Dollars and F.O.B. Enfield, CT unless otherwise stated. Prices are subject to change without notice.

Tax

World Cord Sets does not charge or collect sales tax for orders being sold or shipped outside the state of Connecticut.

A reseller in the state of Connecticut must submit a current resale certificate. A tax-exempt business (not a reseller) must submit a current tax-exemption form to World Cord Sets to be exempt from the home state sales tax. Otherwise, resellers and tax-exempt businesses in Connecticut will be charged state sales tax on all orders.

Product Availability

While every reasonable attempt is made to keep the product availability information on the website up-to-date, errors do occur. Errors will be corrected where discovered and World Cord Sets reserves the right to revoke any stated offer and to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions including after an order has been submitted and whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit or debit card charged. If your credit or debit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is cancelled, World Cord Sets will issue a credit to your credit or debit card account in the amount of the charge.

All purchases through our website are subject to product availability. We may, in our sole discretion, limit or cancel the quantities offered on our website or limit the sales of our products.

There should be no expectation of continued access to our products. Availability of our products is subject to change without notice.

Placing an Order

All orders must be issued to World Cord Sets. They may be placed by mail, fax, telephone, website or e-mail (sales@WorldCordSets.com) with our Customer Service Representatives. Our Customer Service Department can assist you with price and delivery quotations, availability, samples, technical assistance on agency approvals and requirements, and order entry.

Scheduled Blanket Orders

Orders may be placed with shipments scheduled out as far as twelve months.

Made-To-Order Products

Made-to-order products are manufactured to the customer's unique specifications and therefore the order cannot be cancelled after production has begun and the product is nonreturnable. These items are No Cancel No Return (NCNR).

CUSTOM ASSEMBLED cords are sold as No Cancel No Return (NCNR). Typical lead time on these is 2 to 3 days from order acceptance. Exact lead times are determined on a case-by-case basis.

CUSTOM MOLDED cords are sold as No Cancel No Return (NCNR). Typical lead time is 2 weeks if manufactured in the USA and 8 to 12 weeks if done overseas. Exact lead times are determined on a case-by-case basis.

Order Cancellations

If you wish to cancel, or change, all or part of an order we recommend that you contact us immediately.

If you cancel your order BEFORE it is shipped, you will be assessed a 5% cancellation fee plus the cost of the material processed to date.

If you cancel your order AFTER it has been shipped, then please follow our Return Policies & Procedures. The cancellation will have to be treated as a Return with all applicable fees.

Orders which are REFUSED AT DELIVERY will be assessed all of the applicable fees - including shipping charges, restocking, cancellation fees.

Payment by Credit Card

World Cord Sets accepts MasterCard, Visa, American Express and PayPal. We do not add any credit card surcharges. Your charge or debit card will be charged at time of shipment of the product(s). Custom orders may require partial or full payment in advance. World Cord Sets does not keep credit card information on file unless approved by the buyer. If you wish to cancel an item due to lack of availability, then please see our cancellation policy.

Secure Checkout
World Cord Sets utilizes a 128-bit SSL to enable encryption of all transaction data through Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology -- the industry-standard method for protecting web communications. The SSL security protocol provides data encryption, server authentication, message integrity and client authentication for a TCP/IP connection. Each transaction at this site is sent to the payment processing servers via a dedicated SSL TCP/IP level communication thread.

Open Account

Open account terms are available to qualifying customers in the U.S. and Canada. If you wish to apply, please send us your credit references. Our terms of payment for open accounts are net 30 days from the date of invoice. World Cord Sets reserves the right to rescind open account terms for any reason.

C.O.D. Orders

C.O.D. shipping is available to customers who already have an account with World Cord Sets and have established a reliable payment history. We reserve the right to require that C.O.D. payment be made by money order or with a certified check. C.O.D. shipping is subject to additional fees as levied by the carrier (UPS, FedEx) and these fees will be added to the invoice. C.O.D. shipping is only available within the United States. If the currier is unable to collect payment and the shipment is returned to World Cord Sets then customer's order will be subject to additional fees and will be treated as REFUSED AT DELIVERY.

International Customers

International customers are required to prepay by bank wire transfer in US Dollars. We will send you a Pro Forma Invoice in advance. A wire transfer fee may be required and is situation dependent. If a wire transfer fee is required, it will be shown on the Pro Forma Invoice. Canadian orders are processed as domestic orders.

Drop Shipments and Blind Shipments

Drop and blind shipments are common place for World Cord Sets. We gladly process these orders without additional fees. We encourage you to send us your company packing slip for use on the shipment.

Backorders
We will enter your order to ship complete unless you specify differently. If a part is out of stock you will be notified via email, phone or FAX with an estimated ship date for the backordered item(s). You can decide at this point if you want a partial shipment. Delivery of the backordered item(s) will be subject to additional shipping fees. Cancellation of a backordered item is subject to a 25% Order Cancellation Fee. We can’t guarantee the ship date of backordered item(s).

Special Packaging

When requested at the time of order entry we can arrange to ship materials in non-standard packaging. An additional service charge may be assessed for materials and labor in these cases.

Shipping Costs

Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs.

Prepay and Add (PPA) shipping charges are billed to the buyer through World Cord Sets as a separate line item on invoice

Collect shipping charges are billed to the receiver of the goods through the freight carrier (UPS, FedEx, other)

Collect 3rd Party shipping charges are billed to a 3rd party through the freight carrier (UPS, FedEx, other)

Additional Shipping Fees, if incurred, will be invoiced to the buyer. Additional fees may include, but are not limited to, incorrect address, incorrect shipping account number, shipping account not current, refused delivery

Risk of Loss

All risk of loss for shipped items and title for such items shall pass to the buyer upon our delivery to the carrier.

Packages Damaged During Shipping
Claims for damaged shipments must be reported to World Cord Sets within seven (7)  calendar days of shipment receipt.

Late Delivery

Damages for untimely delivery of the product(s) will be limited to the remedies and/or warranties offered by the carrier (UPS, FedEx or other).

Shipping Discrepancies or Errors
Claims for damaged shipments must be reported to World Cord Sets within seven (7)  calendar days of shipment receipt.

Return Policies & Procedures

Returns for Refund - Web Orders

Return window is 30 days from original ship date. Returned product must be clean, undamaged, and 100 percent complete with all manuals, accessories, documents and original packaging. The product must be in a saleable condition free of any non-removable labels, or writing on the product or product packaging. World Cord Sets reserves the right to deny the return or to apply additional restocking charges. The original shipping charges associated with shipping the order to the buyer are not refundable unless the reason for the return is a result of World Cord Sets' error. Buyer shall be responsible for shipping charges incurred when shipping a product back to World Cord Sets for a refund or exchange unless the reason for the return is a result of World Cord Sets' error.

1. Contact World Cord Sets to request a return material authorization (RMA) number. A return material authorization number shall be provided within two business days.
2. Product must be received at World Cord Sets within 30 days of return material authorization issue date.
3. Ship the product inside a cardboard box with appropriate filler or protective material using best packing practices to prevent damage in transit.
4. Include a copy of the return material authorization inside the shipping carton.
5. The return material authorization number must be clearly marked on the outside of the shipping carton, or the shipment shall be refused at the receiving dock.
6. Ship via a carrier that provides tracking numbers in order to provide "signed" proof of delivery to our address.

Returns for Refund - Resale Customers

Please contact your World Cord Sets representative for specifics on the return policy for your account. Standard policy for resale accounts is a 25% restocking fee and a 30 day return window.

Credit

All items will be physically inspected by World Cord Set's receiving department and refund shall be issued after identification and determination of the condition of the material. Resaleable condition is solely determined by World Cord Sets. Refunds are made to the original credit card or by a mailed company check if the order was paid for with a check. All credits from returns must be used within one calendar year of issue.

Internet Security

World Cord Sets utilizes SSL to encrypt and secure all transactions between your computer and our server. This keeps your credit card information safe and conforms to industry requirements for secure transactions.

Cookies
We use cookies in order to process transactions. Our website requires that a cookie be placed on your computer to track your session. A cookie is a small file that contains a string of numbers that uniquely identifies your computer to ours. This string is known as a "Session ID". Session Data

Session date is data stored in the user's internet cache containing information about the user. For instance, by setting session data on our website the customer would not have to log in a password more than once thereby saving time while on our website. Log Files

We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the website, track user's movement and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information. Periodically these log files are deleted.

Warranty
If the goods furnished to the buyer shall fail, due to defective material or workmanship, within one (1) year from the date of shipment, World Cord Sets shall replace such non-conforming goods or repair such non-conforming goods without charge to the buyer. Limitation of Product Liability

World Cord Sets will accept liability for only the purchase prices of products and applicable freight charges. World Cord Sets is not liable for any costs for issues such as production delays, rework, late deliveries, etc. unless agreed upon in writing by both World Cord Sets and the buyer.

Title to goods herein being purchased is retained by World Cord Sets until goods are paid for by the buyer and at that time title passes to the buyer. If goods herein being purchased are being purchased for purposes of export, buyer must obtain from the federal government certain export documentation before shipping to a foreign country. In addition, manufacturers' warranties for exported goods may vary or even be null and void.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

All matters relating to your access to, or use of, this website shall be governed by the laws of the state of Connecticut and the U.S. federal laws effective in that state.
