The NEMA 6-20P Power Cords connects to any standard NEMA 6-20R female outlet receptacle or connector. Our adapter cords include the IEC c13, c19 and the c15 for high temp applications. The cord connector variation you need will depend on the device you are trying power. Inspect the power inlet on the back of your equipment, and make sure that the device requires 220v/240v/250v and 20amp.

The NEMA 6-20P Power Cords are rated up to 250VAC and 20A. This power cord set is designed for applications that require extra power than the standard 5-20P Power cords and are compatible with a Hot-Hot-Ground(2 Pole) wiring connection. These cord sets are typically used for connecting a 6-20R wall receptacle or connector, to a particular device. The device you intend to power will have a certain power inlet style that will likely match with one of our connector options in the 6-20P Power Cord Series. Refer with your team to make sure your power demands are satisfied under the voltage and ampere ratings of the cord you choose.
The NEMA 6-20P to Open/Whip/Pig Tail- NACC is a power supply cord rated for 250VAC and 20A max with 12AWG. NACC, North American Color Code, refers to the color code of the conductor insulation which is BLACK / WHITE / GREEN. This cord is for field installation to equipment or device that requires a line, line and ground conductor (not exceeding the rated power of the cord) to operate. Standard Whips are Remove Outer Jacket(ROJ) 2" and then each conductor is stripped 1/4" to bare conductor. Other ROJ/Strip combinations are available for bulk quantities upon request. For two pole cords like this, "X" pole is generally black and "Y" pole is white, with green as the ground conductor.

The C13 mates with a C14 inlet, and is commonly used in a jumper cable scenario in IT Installations providing power from a PDU to a server, router, switch or other computing device. Most people know the C13 as 'the thing that plugs into my computer' because it is the standard connector used to power most desktop computers. In a desktop computer application, the most common cable is the NEMA 5-15P to C13, which connects your standard North American wall outlet to a desktop computer. The IEC 60320 C15 is a grounded 3 Wire connector rated up to 250V & 10 Amps Internationally and 125V/250V & 15 Amps in North America. The C15 mates with a C16 inlet and can also be down graded to a C14 Inlet. C14 Inlet and is commonly used in IT Installations providing power from a PDU to a server, router, switch or other computing device. The C15 is a HIGH TEMPERATURE connector rated up to 120°C, unlike the 70°C rating of the C13. The C15 is commonly used in in electric kettles and other household appliances that involve higher temperatures than a normal C13 is made to withstand. There is a dimple located below the ground pin to ensure that the standard C13 connector cannot be plugged into the C16 Inlet which is used on high temperature applications. This design is utilized to allow this C15 connector to be used on both high temperature applications and standard applications, as to not limit the user. The C15 connector is commonly used with 18awg SJT(OW), 16awg SJT(OW), and 14awg SJT(OW).
What does the IEC 60320 C15 Connect to?
|The IEC 60320 type C15 connector is designed to plug into the high temperature rated IEC 320 C16 Inlet. This inlet is commonly found on high performance IT Equipment that reaches heats that exceed the rating of the standard IEC C13 connector. This inlet is designed to reach temperatures up to 120*C. The C15 can also be plugged into a standard non-high temp application C14 Inlet, which is located on a wide variety of IT Equipment like computer monitors and switches.|
The IEC 60320 C19 is a grounded 3 Wire connector rated up to 250V and 20 Amps. The C19 can be found on a variety of power cords, including NEMA to 320 Adapter cords, and International Plug types to IEC 320 connectors, but the most common application is the IEC 320 C20 to C19 power cord which is a a standard extension cord used to power high powered IT Equipment. The C19 is typically used in high powered blade server chassis, large network routers, and other IT equipment that draws more power than a standard C13 can accommodate.

The C20 Inlet can be found on a variety of high powered IT Equipment ranging from switches to Un-Interrupted Power Supply systems.|
The open end of a power supply cord is hard wired to another device, providing power either to our from that device. Unless otherwise noted, our power supply cords come standard with a 2" ROJ (Remove Outer Jacket) and a 1/4" Strip. The ROJ length determines the length of the individual conductors, and the Strip length determines the amount of copper exposed on the end of each conductor. International Color Code(ICC) vs. North American Color Code(NACC)
For the majority of our customers, the color code used for the cordage is negligible. However, for OEM customers, or customers dealing with government installations or projects that have highly specified cords the color code used will be important to establish. Our standard color code for our Cut/ Remove of Outer Jacket/ Strip Conductor Job is North American Color Code (NACC).
